| Instructor Profile: | Since In Ok took the first instructor's course in 2003 with Dr. Lam, she has practiced Tai Chi for her medical condition. In Ok was diagnosed with RA ten years ago, but she was able to control her symptoms and manage to perform daily activities and her job as a full-time nurse. In Ok is actively involved in the research project with Dr. Song for heart patients, diabetes patients for their community based on Tai Chi exercise program. In Ok enjoys practicing with them and loves to see them enjoy themselves to improve their health. She is currently a doctoral student and planning to develop the comprehensive rehabilitation program with Tai Chi for children with cerebral palsy and apply to them. She is going to help individuals through Tai Chi to promote health not only for those who are admitted to hospital but also for those in the community setting as becoming a dedicated senior trainer. |
