| Instructor Profile: | Fiona was a teacher of physical education and participated in competitive sport as a player, coach and official. She became a fitness leader teaching mainly older adults, and quickly realised that whilst she had the skills to coach an elite athlete, she lacked the expertise to teach older people effectively. An advertisement for a Tai Chi for Arthritis course saw her attend her first Tai Chi session. This led to her attending Better Health Tai Chi Chuan (BHTCC) as a student, a January workshop and the establishment of a number of Tai Chi for Diabetes classes. She is now an instructor at BHTCC and has been an assistant instructor at a number of workshops. |
